Location: 

The great socialist people’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya is located in North Africa between 90 50’ E-250E longitudes and possesses a Mediterranean coastline of approximately 1775500 Sq.km, and a population of about 4500000, the capital city being tarabulus (Tripoli).

Climate:

The climate is greatly influenced by the desert to the south and the Mediterranean Sea to the north. In winter the northern mountain can be fairly cold. During summer it is generally very hot, temperatures are between 27C and31C, and these can be higher in the southern desert, along the coastal areas it is humid with temperatures of between 25C and27C.
